Deep Pan Pizza
  • Ingredients:
  • 1 cup Warm water
  • 1 packet Active dry yeast
  • 3 1/2 cups Flour
  • 1/2 cup Coarse ground cornmeal
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 cup Oil

Dissolve the yeast with water in a bowl with the help of a fork. Add 1 cup of flour and remaining ingredients. Mix well with a spoon. Stir in the rest of the flour 1/2 cup at a time. Flour the work surface and knead the ball of dough until smooth and elastic. Cover and keep aside for about till it doubles in size. Punch and knead dough again for 3-4 minutes. It prevents formation of air bubbles. Press into an oiled 15-inch deep pizza pan, until it comes 2 inches up the sides and is even on the bottom of the pan. Let stand for 15 mins. Preheat the oven to 500 degrees and bake for 8-10 mins.

Salsa Pizza
  • 2 cups can refried beans (boiled)
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 1/2 bunch of green onions
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Some black olives, chopped
  • Some small piece of bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 pack (10 pieces of tortillas deep fried)
  • 1 cup oil
  • 1 green chilli chopped
  • 4 tbsp tomato puree
  • 2 tbsp tomato ketchup
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsely leaves
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 2 pizza bases

Method
Heat 1 tbsp of oil. Add tomato puree, ketchup and sugar. Mash beans and add to it along with parsely. Season and keep aside. Take a pizza and spread some refried bean. Then put some salsa, cheddar cheese, green onions, olive pieces, bell peppers pieces and chilli on it. Bake till golden brown and serve.
