Fool's Day

April fool's day on
a Good Friday seems
a black joke. Darkness
hangs over the face
of the fool three hours.
The fool hangs. We face
our own darkness, bad
thoughts of the times, God
abandoned, the joke
gone sour in conse-
quence of our folly.
