American Gun Plot

This indie drama interweaves three stories, all of which involve the proliferation of firearms in American society. A gun-store owner (Sutherland) invites his college student daughter (Cardellini) to spend a summer working in the family business. Meanwhile, a single mom (Gay Harden) worries that her son may follow in the footsteps of his older brother, who killed himself after shooting up his school. In Chicago, a principal (Whitaker) struggles to keep his inner-city school free of guns.
