The number on Francois Molay's coat at the end of the film in the CIA headquarter is 1138. A reference to George Lucas's THX 1138 (1971).School's nurse is "Nurse Ratched" - same name as in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1975)

When Natalie is kidnapped, she is wearing a jacket-like sweater. But when she is being held hostage, she is wearing a black tank top.When Cody Banks looks at the tracker device after Natalie is kidnapped, it shows the latitude and longitude of her location. However, the latitude and longitude are transposed.

As a henchman falls while the E.R.I.S. facility is destructing.The exterior of the CIA headquarters was shot on location in the Academic Quadrangle at Simon Fraser University near Vancouver. This location is popular for films in Vancouver, and once doubled as an alien planet in an episode of "Stargate SG-1" (1997).

In addition to the Norwegian "Diplom Is" sign at the café, a scarf of Harald Zwart's hometown football team, Fredrikstad Fotballkubb, is hanging over Cody's bedroom door.The evil organization is named E.R.I.S. which is also the name of the Greek goddess of discord and strife. In mythology, she was the brother of Ares, god of war.

When Natalie and Cody are riding the snow bike inside the building to escape, they go through a glass door. The door breaks before they get close to it.When Ronica lands the flying machine to get Cody you can see the wire that connected it the crane.

When Cody and Natalie are meeting in the café, the Norwegian ice-cream brand 'Diplom is' is shown in the background on the wall behind Natalie. Also the 'Diplom is mannen' is seen on the floor to the left behind Natalie. Harald Zwart always put in a couple of items from Norway in his movies.The photograph of Frankie Muniz that accompanies Cody's CIA profile is a "Malcolm in the Middle" (2000) publicity still.

When Ronica Miles comes to save Cody Banks, she takes her seatbelt off once the flying machine lands. The next time we see her, she is taking her seatbelt off again. In several shots we see that Cody Banks is smaller then Ronica Miles and Molay but, in every fight scene, Cody becomes much taller, showing that a double was used.

Also in the opening action scene, the Volvo skids to a stop at the edge of the railroad track, where the train scrapes against the car's front left corner, shooting off sparks. When the front of the car is next shown, there is no damage whatsoever.At the very end of the film, Cody's hologram-projecting phone rings. It's the ring from Our Man Flint (1966), also used by Austin Powers.

Even the movie takes place in Seattle, Canada Place (a famous Vancouver landmark) can be seen in the background during the skateboarding scene.Cody and Natalie attend the "William Donovan Preparatory School". William Donovan was in charge of the US Office of Strategic Services (OSS) in World War II. The OSS eventually became the CIA.As Cody attempts to rescue the baby from the out-of-control car, a sign for Famous Players can be seen in the background. Famous Players is a Canadian movie theatre chain. However, the movie supposedly takes place in Seattle. Also, a street sign saying "Esplanade" can be seen. The Esplanade is a major road in North Vancouver, British Columbia.
