After the Sunset Plot
After the Sunset is a 2004 Thriller movie starring Pierce Brosnan as Max
Burdette, a master thief caught in a cat-and-mouse game with FBI agent Stan
Lloyd played by Woody Harrelson.
Max Burdett (Brosnan) is a world-class cat thief, who manages to steal a
rare diamond out from under the nose of FBI agent Stan Lloyd (Harrelson)
with the help of his lover Lola (Salma Hayek). After making their escape,
they decide to retire to a tropical island and live it up. However, the same
routine soon grates on Max.
After a few months, agent Lloyd shows up, accusing Burdett of hiding out in
the same place where a cruise ship is displaying another large rare diamond,
the third of a set of diamonds that Burdett stole. Despite his pleas of
innocense and placing Lloyd in first-class accommodations to show how he
doesn't need to steal anything, his curiosity gets the better of him and he
starts casing the ship. However, not only does Lola suspect that he's ready
for 'one more' job, so does the local thug, Henri Moore (Don Cheadle), who
threatens Max to steal the diamond for him. Now Max has to decide if his
relationship with Lola is worth the possibility of going for one last big
score - as well as being in Henri's and Stan's sights.
