To get the dogs to lick the humans, they had steak juice daubed on their
skin.
The car that Cruella de Vil drives is a Panther De Ville.
217 dalmatians were used in the movie.
The UK release on VHS in 1997 came with the tape in a limited edition white
casing covered in large black splodges to signify a dalmatian effect.
The video game at the end in which two pups escape being pursed by Cruella
de Vill in a railway mine is reminiscent of the railway mine pursuit in
Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.
Scenes of Horrace and Jasper being electrocuted by an electric fence are
removed from many television showings in the UK to reduce the risk of
younger viewers being scared or upset by the scene.
Both raccoons and skunks are shown in this film. However, neither creature
lives naturally in the UK.
Escaped raccoons have sometimes established small populations in England,
including Suffolk, where the climax of the film is set. However, no skunks
have ever been recorded out of captivity in the British Isles. The amount of
ash that Cruella drops off her cigarette.Roger and Anita's house is located
in South Kensington, as can be seen on the street sign outside their house
several times. This is north of the River Thames. In one of the later scenes
the view from their rear window shows the River Thames, London Bridge and
the Big Ben as seen from the south bank.
When Cruella gets thrown in the air in the barn, the glass breaks before she
hits it.When Horace and Jasper are arrested after a long night chasing the
puppies, day has begun to break. Then the film cuts back to show Cruella
being defeated by the barn animals and eventually arrested, it is nighttime
again.
When Perdy is taken to be checked by a vet because of her pregnancy, the
window says "Veterinarian". This is the North American term - in London (as
in the rest of the UK) vets are called "veterinary surgeons".Tube providing
fluid clearly visible when Whizzer is urinating on floor.
Jasper asks Horace to check the "tail pipe" of the van, near the end of the
movie. The term that would have been used in the UK would have been "exhaust
pipe".Near the end of the movie, Cruella tell the animal in the barn that
they will end up on a plastic plates with fries on the side. British people
call them chips.

offered the Jeff Daniels part. They used 217 Dalmatians.
A major task for the film was finding and training more than 200 Dalmatian
puppies. When Glenn Close appeared on the set as Cruella in full fright wig,
makeup, and costume, one of the dogs playing Perdy repeatedly tried to slink
away.
Jeff Daniels (Roger) says that on more than one occasion, he heard an
authoritative voice on the dog-strewn set shout "Sit!" and immediately
plopped himself into a chair only to be told, "Not you, Jeff.".Filmmakers
rubbed Jeff Daniels's face with raw hot dogs in order to get the pups to
lick him on cue.
