8. Unclutter Your Home:
Clutter is the other name for chaos, confusion, muddle and jumble. It contributes greatly to our irritability and annoyance. Avoid cluttering your cupboards, rooms and homes with extra unwanted things. It generates generating stress and frustration by preventing us from accessing useful things when we need them. So keep your home organised and clean.

9. Don't Dilly-Dally:
Often we delay doing things, which we don't like, which later results in stress. Even though we are doing other chores, these jobs constantly niggle at us at the back of our minds. Resolve to complete all pending jobs today. Try and complete jobs that you don't like to do first. The feeling of finishing jobs that don't enjoy will keep you going through the other not-so-enjoyable ones.

10. Keep Things In Perspective:
We live our lives as if it were an emergency. We tend to overreact at the slightest inconvenience. Being late for a meeting, a messy room, garbage thrown by the neighbours, a barking dog, a traffic jam, irritable kids etc. We often shout damage our relationship with our domestic help, colleagues, neighbours or anyone else involved. At the end, we are the losers, and in a big mess. Learn to accept life's quirks as they come. Put things in perspective and become happier.

11. Get In Touch With Old Friends:
As we move on with life, we occasionally remember treasured friends, dear colleagues and old neighbours from our past times. If they are in your thoughts, take the initiative, look up their numbers and invite them over. Meeting dear old ones de-stresses us and makes up for so many setbacks in our life.

12. Take Out Time For Yourself:
When was the last time you took time out to be absolutely alone with yourself? Each one of us breathing space and being alone with ourselves does just that. Yes, even from our spouses. It gives us a chance to think quietly. To ponder over things that we would want to do and dreams that we would like to come true. Being alone gives us peace and makes us happier.

13. Create a peaceful environment:
Maintaining a positive attitude is much easier when we live and work in a properly arranged environment. Make the surroundings restful. Ensure optimal lighting and temperature. Put in comfortable furniture and keep the rooms clutter-free. Bring in plants, music and things, which help you relax. Our muscles relax when we are calm and at peace, our pulse rate and blood pressure also decreases. We can concentrate better on the job at hand, which brings with it a sense of achievement.

14.Be Less Reactive:
Don't get bothered and react in the expected furious manner. Let that raging moment pass. Do not shout whatever the provocation. Your family did not clear their plates after dinner, the cashier at the super market was too slow, your kids shout at you etc. Cool. Take a deep breath and relax. You can't think rationally when you are angry. A infuriated person who shouts is a real turn-off for others. If you don't react in a furious manner stress does not build up in you. You remain more focused on the job at hand.
