Adam Goldberg, born October 25, 1970 in Santa Monica, California, in appearance and speech typifies the quintessential 'young New York Jew' in many movies and TV programs of the 1990s and 2000s; including the title role of the self-parodying 'Jewsploitation movie' The Hebrew Hammer. His father is Jewish and his mother is a Catholic of Irish, French, and German descent ; he was raised in the Jewish faith. He has expressed disappointment that he seems to be typecast as the "nervous Jew". Goldberg starred alongside Chris O'Donnell in the FOX show Head Cases, the first show of the 2005-06 season to be dropped by FOX Network just 2 weeks into its run. Goldberg was in a relationsip with actress Christina Ricci until early 2006.
